We wanted to update suppliers, customers and friends on a recent situation at Premier Roof Systems. Although we have all the recommended and necessary safety measures in place, we’ve had a positive Covid-19 test result at Premier Roof Systems. We have therefore taken action to make sure all of our staff and our customers are safe.

Premier Roof Systems has grown substantially since it was founded in 2011, moving to new premises in 2016 to increase productivity they have now increased their workforce. The company supply and fit a wide range of products including conservatory roofs, windows, doors and a wide range of roof lanterns.
Developments in both products and personnel have led one local firm to grow its turnover by 50 per cent.
Founded in 2011, Premier Roof Systems, which makes, supplies and installs conservatories, orangeries, home extensions, roofs, rooflights, windows and doors, has augmented its team with the appointment of two key individuals to handle demand for its latest product offering.
Gary Lumby MBE has joined the company as non-executive director, with Ashley Fox being appointed technical sales manager. Both will be instrumental in the ongoing expansion of the firm, which includes a new partnership with Ultraframe.
After announcing a record quarter following year-on-year growth, Premier Roof Systems (PRS) is recruiting more employees. Although accelerated growth brings its own challenges, PRS is looking forward to building on this year’s success.
The Jarrow-based business is also pleased to announce the appointment of its first NED, Gary Lumby MBE has an extensive portfolio of NED clients across the UK and Gary will help guide the management team of PRS in its next phase of accelerated growth.
Chris Mullen, sales director at Premier Roof Systems started in the industry at the age of 16 manufacturing UPVC windows, then became a floor manager at the firm by the age of 18. After a six-year professional boxing career, at the age of 24, he thought it would be a great idea to start Premier Roof Systems Limited with business partner Jamie Blackwood.

Premier Roof Systems is responding to growing demand for aluminium roof lanterns and recently started supplying the Korniche – the ‘next generation’ of thermally broken roof lanterns from Made for Trade.
Premier Roof Systems co-founder and director Jamie Blackwood said: “We have increasingly been approached about full aluminium systems and were looking at what system to take on board. We already had a good relationship with Made for Trade and knew that the Korniche was one of the newest lanterns so we went up for a demo. It definitely ticks all the boxes – we have sold 20 of them in about a month.”
